CHOOSE THE BRAND – BEST RIDING BIKES FOR LONG TRAILS

The best riding bikes for long trails would be a hybrid bicycle. A hybrid bike has a wider tire than a racing bike and a smaller tire than a mountain bike. They are easy to handle whether you are on a packed dirt trail, gravel or a paved surface. They are comfortable because you are sitting more upright and you’re able to take in your beautiful surroundings as you tour the country side. The saddles (seats) are a bit more padded that those narrow ones you find on racing bikes and about the same as the ones on mountain bikes. These bikes still have multiple gearing system usually around 21 different speeds which would enable you to climb any decent size hill or gain speed on a downhill.

Additionally, most major bike brands carry a few hybrid bikes in their line up. You may also wish to purchase a set of handlebar extentions which are small bars which clamp onto the ends of your handbars. This will enable you to have a multitude of hand positions on your trail rides. One problem with bike that allow you to sit more upright is that your hands get numb or sore if they are constantly in the same position. Happy cycling!
